Way, way back in the eighties this Carrera team jersey was pretty well known in the pro peloton. The clean design makes it appealing to certain tastes, including this writer, but the sizing available via this Ebay auction does not meet the non-racer mid-section. The shipping price is pretty reasonable considering the distance to North America. Also note that the team had various secondary sponsors over the years and this version of the jersey with Tassoni Soda is better looking than some others. The Carrera cycling team had some great riders on its roster over the years. Most English speaking race fans know that Stephen Roche raced for the team and won the Tour de France and the Giro d'Italia while racing for the team. Another well known Carrera Jean team member was Claudio Chiappucci who is remembered for his attacking racing style. Italian Roberto Visentini also won the Giro d'Italia for the team in 1986.
